Banyuan Ban, 34 years old, PhD, associated professor. He is classified as a high-level talent of type D in Hefei, China. His main research direction is silicon-based new energy materials. His research includes ultra-high-purity quartz sand purification technology and theory, preparation of silicon-based anode materials for lithium batteries, and solar-grade silicon material alloy purification technology. He has published more than 40 SCI papers and holds more than 10 related patents. He has also led several relevant scientific research projects, including national natural science funding, provincial natural science funding, the director's fund of Hefei Institute of Physical Science Science, excellent postdoctoral program, and key laboratory projects.
Work experience: Banyuan Ban obtained his PhD degree from Hefei Institutes of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences between 2011 and 2016. He then worked as an assistant researcher at Hefei Institutes of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2016, and was promoted to project associated professor in 2019. In 2019, he was selected for the International Clean Energy Innovation Talent Training Program and conducted exchange visits at Malardalen University in Sweden from September to November 2019. Since November 2022, he has been a visiting scholar at Montanuniversität Leoben in Austria.
